    Lecture:

    An update on new biological concepts and technical procedures for more predictable outcomes in Endodontics. Diagnosis and treatment planning. CBCT. One visit endo. Case difficulty assessment.

    Lecture

    Minimal invasive access preparation in front, premolar and molar teeth. How to deal with calcifications, pulp horns and developmental fusion lines? A comprehensive and evidence based irrigation protocol. Pros and cons of obturation techniques.

    Live Treatment

    2:00 PM – 4:00 PM

    A two-hour long session of a microscope-assisted primary root canal treatment demonstrated by Dr. Borbely projected on a large screen.

Day 2 – Practical course

    Ergonomic setting of the microscope. Tips to get comfortable working under a microscope. Exercises to improve endodontic skills.

  • 10:30 AM – 11:00 AM

    Hands-on Practice

    Demonstration and training of microscope-assisted access preparation. Scouting and glide paths techniques. Achieving and maintaining patency. How to negotiate calcified canals?

    Hands-on Practice

    2:00 PM – 4:00 PM

    Shaping and cleaning of the root canal system using advanced NiTi rotary systems. Demonstration and practice of the cold hydraulic obturation technique using a bioceramic sealer and a modified cold lateral condensation technique.

  • 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM

A dental operative microscope will be provided for each participant. There will be an opportunity to compare several brands of microscopes during the course. All instruments, materials, extracted teeth and high quality 3D printed teeth will also be provided.
